I have heard about a man by the name Joel Sartore, he takes photos for a living and he is amazing at his job. He takes pictures of endangered animals to make the public fall in love with their cuteness, which isn't very hard because they are adorable once you see them. Joel had been a photographer for the National Geographic wildlife for 15 years. When one year he had to take a year off for a family incident, this allowed him to realize the impact of his work. This all started because of a naked mole rat, Joel decided to begin doing eye-contact with animals and no distractions in the background, so the background was either black or white, which promotes the focus on the animals more. Above are pictures that were taken, such amazing work!!

There have been a lot of videos this past summer about people leaving their animals in their car. This is the same thing as animal cruelty, it doesn't matter if you are "just going to be a second", you decided to leave your pet in your a hot car on a hot summers day. I have seen multiple videos about people trying to stay in a hot car on a hot summers day to show how dogs suffer. There has been a video where people try to last for 10 minutes to win $100, this was to show how animals in your car suffer, no one in the video made it to 10 minutes, it was too hot for them, they were drenched in sweat and freaking out because it was so hot. Think about an animal in that situation, they have fur, which is like wearing a big sweater in the summer, which makes them more hot than those people in the video. I know for a fact there there have been a lot of car windows broken this past summer because this summer has been very hot, and people see animals in a car and get worried. There are different forms of animal cruelty and this is just one that has come up a lot this past summer. Cruelty to animals are these things; neglect, industrial animal farming, cultural rituals, TV and film making, circuses, bullfighting, animal hoarding, abuse, baiting, fighting, and there are tons more. Why would people do this to these precious animals you ask? Because the people think that since they are the owner of the animals they can do whatever they want to the animal because the owner is the dominate one and the animal can't do anything about it. Sweat is just dripping down her, think about your animal in there, they would have it way worse since they have fur!!

If you don't here is a brief summary of Cecil the Lion. Cecil, a male, was a Southwest African lion, he live in a National Park in Zimbabwe. Cecil was the main attraction at the park and everyone loved him! The University of Oxford was watching over Cecil for a large study they did. Then one day in July Cecil was shot with an arrow, but Cecil didn't go down, he ran away and the team of people who shot arrows at him tracked him down again 11 hours later and then shot him. This man is a dentist from Minnesota, his name was Walter Palmer. Walter said that he paid "$54, 000 to bow hunt Cecil, a magnificent, black-maned, 13- year old lion." Cecil's death has "sparked what's been called the biggest global response to a wildlife story ever." This is why we need to stop poaching. Above is the gorgeous lion; Cecil and below is the man who illegally killed Cecil; Walter Palmer. Source of information:
